Antelope Island 100K – UT

The Antelope Island 100K is a new race held on the largest island in the Great Salt Lake in Utah.  The state park there is very supportive of this and the other trail races that Jim Skaggs puts on there because it introduces this unique park to so many people.

Katcina Mosa 100K Mountain Run

At Katcina Mosa 100K, I paced Mark Ellison for the last 40 miles of the course.  I put together a slide-show audio/video about the experience.  The race is a tough mountain race that shares part of the course with the Squaw Peak 50, in the opposite direction.  I had great fun playing the pacer role.  One runner commented, “Boy you are a mean pacer.”  Ha, ha, no whining allowed when I pace!  Mark successfully finished in under 17 hours.

Kat’cina Mosa 100K Mountain Run

August 5, 2006

I ran in the 5th edition of the Kat’cina Mosa 100k Mountain Run in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, near Provo.   Race Director John Bozung uses this name for the race to honor the American Indians.   Kat’cina Mosa 100K is still a hidden jewel among mountain ultra races.
